The Show Your Colors Tee is a playful yet minimal striped tee designed to celebrate color and creativity. Knitted seamlessly from the top down with raglan increases, the tee is started flat to shape the neckline before the work is joined in the round for the rest of the garment.

The hem and sleeve cuffs are finished with a folded edge for a clean, minimal look, while the neckline is worked in classic ribbing. Worked in fingering weight yarn, the Show Your Colors Tee is light and comfortable to wear, and also a wonderful project for using leftover yarns and scrap skeins to build your own unique stripe combinations.

While the overall design is clean and simple, the stripes are where the tee truly comes to life. The stripe pattern is built from repeating sets of five narrow contrasting stripes, creating endless opportunities to experiment with color combinations and build your own palette. You can work the stripes with carefully planned color transitions or simply use what you have on hand.
For my first sample, I introduced a new color with each set of stripes, gradually shifting through shades of burgundy, blue, pink, and purple to create a soft gradient effect. The second version explores the stripes in a different way: each stripe set follows the same structure, but the colors vary within the set, combining three different shades for a more subtle look.

Designed for the Flock Fiber Festival 2026, the tee draws inspiration from the festival’s artwork and logo, celebrating the joy of color and community within the fiber world.
