Crochet Ideas For Mini Skeins!

Crochet Ideas For Mini Skeins!

As someone who mostly knits, I admit sometimes it is easy to focus on knitting. So I apologise if I ever asked you "What are you knitting?" and you are actually a crocheter! So, this is my attempt to make it up to all the crocheters out there and compile some inspiration for what you can make with your mini skeins.

* Just a small disclaimer that all links will take you to Ravelry. I understand this website isn't accessible for everyone but unfortunately it is still the most comprehensive collection of crochet and knitting patterns. All images have also come from Ravelry. *
Garments!

Here are four different garments you can make with your mini skeins!

Crochet Sea Glass Tee by Wool & Pine Designs

The biggest size needs around 690 grams of yarn! I am sure you'll enjoy collecting minis to crochet this beautiful lightweight tee.

Confetti DK Pullover by Nomad Stitches

Hold your mini skeins double to create a fun marled look. Bonus, this pullover also comes in children sizes!

Gertie Cardigan by Holly Woodward Designs

Another DK pattern but holding fingering double gives almost the same gauge. Hold a solid skein double or mix and match minis for a fun look.

Granny Stripe Cardigan by Hannah Siegmund

This pattern comes with a colouring page to plan your cardigan!

Shawls!

Shawls always offer a great opportunity to play with colour and adapt patterns to suit your yarn that you have available. Just because the pattern doesn't call for mini skeins doesn't mean you can't use them!
